This highly sought after antique bamboo inspired hinged bangle was made in year 1911 in Birmingham, United Kingdom. Featured on the bangle is a hand engraved monogram reading M.F.G and complete hallmarks denoting origin and age.
The bangle is wax-filled which was a common process used in the early 1900s to add strength and durability to hollow pieces. Please note that some of the wax has become loose due to the heritage of the piece.
The clasp on this bangle is tight and it comes with an original safety chain. There are some signs of wear on this bangle, however for being 112 years old it is in remarkable condition.
